What Mana is

Mana keeps what your organization knows, so that the agents you use can find it later. You connect an agent, the agent writes memories, and the store answers questions about them with the evidence it used.

It is in alpha. It is not finished, it can be wrong, and it can be unavailable. Do not make it the only place something is kept.

Your knowledge is yours

What you write stays yours. We hold it to run the service for you and for nothing else. We do not sell it, we do not give it to anyone else, and we do not train models on it.

You can take a copy at any time: Settings, Your data, Export everything. It is one file holding every memory and record the export could read.

Deleting

An organization owner can delete a memory. It leaves search, the library and every agent at once, and nobody can read it from that moment.

Its content is erased within thirty days, and after that it is gone: the text, the stored bytes, and the evidence it cited. Inside those thirty days an owner can put it back, from Settings.

One thing survives, and we would rather say it than have you find it. The store keeps a hash-chained ledger of what happened to it, and that ledger records that a memory existed and was deleted, by whom, when, and the reason the person typed. It does not hold the memory text. The memory key stays in it too, so a key that was itself sensitive is still readable there. We keep the ledger because it is what lets anyone check that the store has not been altered behind your back.

Who can read what

Every read is checked against the grant of the person or agent making it, before anything is retrieved. A memory is written with an audience: private to its writer, the whole organization, or a named segment.

Knowledge labelled restricted is never exported and never reaches an agent. An export taken by an administrator says how many records it does not contain.

What we ask of you

Do not put credentials, payment details, or other people’s personal data into a memory. The store refuses obvious credentials, and that check is a help, not a guarantee.

Do not use Mana to break the law or to hold what you have no right to hold. You are responsible for what your organization writes into it.

Paying, and stopping

A plan and its limits are shown in Settings. During the alpha the free plan is what most people will be on, and we will tell you before that changes.

You can stop at any time. Export first: when an organization closes its account we delete what it holds, on the same thirty-day path as any other deletion.

What we promise, and what we do not

We run the service with care, keep it in one region of one cloud provider, and encrypt what is stored.

We do not promise it will be available, correct, or fast, and during the alpha we do not promise it will not lose data. If it fails you, what you can ask of us is limited to what you have paid us. Nothing here takes away a right you have by law.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, we ask you to accept them again, and the record of what you accepted before stays as it was.
