You add the connector yourself, in Settings. Then one prompt.

There is no command here, and the assistant cannot do this part for you. A custom connector is added by a person, in Claude's own settings, and only then does the assistant see the Mana tools.

Custom connectors need a paid Claude plan. On a Team or Enterprise workspace a workspace admin may have to add the connector for everyone, or allow members to add their own.

## Add the connector

1. Open **Settings**, then **Connectors**.
2. Choose **Add custom connector** (on some plans it sits behind **Browse connectors**).
3. Paste this address and save:

4. Choose **Connect**. Your browser opens Mana's sign-in, you confirm once, and you come back.

The connector then reads **Connected**. The Mana tools appear in new chats; a chat that was already open may need to be started again.

## Then paste the prompt

In a new chat, paste the prompt labelled **after you add the connector yourself** on [Start here](/docs). It does not ask the assistant to add anything. It tells it to read the standing instructions, which carry the rules your organization keeps.

Do not paste the other prompt here. It asks the assistant to add an MCP server, which nothing in a browser chat can do, and the answer is either an apology or an invented step.

## Turning the tools on in a chat

If the tools do not appear, open the tools or attachments menu of the chat and check that Mana is enabled for it. Claude asks before each first use of a new tool.

## When the connection is lost

The token the connector holds renews itself. When Claude says the connection was lost, open **Settings**, **Connectors**, and choose **Connect** again. Nothing in the store is lost, and you are not asked to approve Mana a second time unless you revoked it.

## Removing it

Open **Settings**, then **Connectors**, and remove the Mana connector. That disconnects this assistant and deletes nothing: see [Remove Mana](/docs/remove).
